Vårt projekt Deaf Chefs Learning The World Cuisine är ett samarbete mellan olika organisationer i Tyskland, Portugal, Italien och Sverige. Vårt mål är att öka möjligheterna för döva och hörselskadade att lära sig laga mat på en högre nivå än den i grundskolan.

Vi vill skapa en fullt tillgänglig och helt gratis kurs för döva och hörselskadade personer som riskerar socialt utanförskap. De ska kunna använda sig av vår kurs när och var de vill. Vi tror även att vi genom detta sätter ett gott exempel för andra kurser framöver.

När vårt projekt är avslutat kommer vår målgrupp att ha ett värdefullt verktyg för att ta bort olika hinder.

När vi skapar vår kursinnehåll ser vi på varje lands nationella rätter och målgruppen kommer därför lära sig rätter från fyra olika länder. I vår distanskurs kommer vi att lägga stor vikt på kommunikationen, att det ska ske på varje lands olika teckenspråk och även finnas undertexter på varje skrivet språk. Vi kommer även skapa ordlistor för nya ord att lära sig. Här kommer information på engelska.

1. Developing a distance learning system that the hearing impaired can use and benefit from in their vocational education and training process. The system should meet the SCORM standarts (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) and also involve the assessment and evaluation steps too.
2. Developing a curriculum that involves the vocational and educational skills required, and helps the hearing impaired become a cook/chef or improve themselves, and give them new opportunities to increase the chances of employment in their country or abroad.
3. Developing a distance learning education model which is fully accessible, free of charge and effective in terms of inclusive education. Our model will have the qualities to create opportunities regarding lifelong learning, skills development and personal satisfaction.
4. Producing a distance learning content, curriculum and modules made with using their native language of the hearing impaired, namely the sign language used in their own countries respectively.
5. We are going to develop a culinary/cooking terminology dictionary in the sign languages of each partner country and contribute to the language and vocational skills of the hearing impaired. Such a study has not been performed previously and this project will be a first in its field.
6. With this project, we aim; To contribute to the Digital Transformation in accessible and inclusive vocational education by creating ties of cooperation, consultation, interaction and experience among organisations that have expertise in their respective fields not only within the borders of the EU but also beyond them in the long run.
